We are currently looking to place a Principal Structural Engineer with the benefit of at least fifteen years' postgraduate UK consultancy experience to fill a permanent opening at our clients' Redhill office.

Their well-established civil structures team is growing and are looking to add a capable and skilled Structural Engineer to their dynamic design office as the work continues to come in.

Requirements of the Principal Structural Engineer with Temporary Works experience include:
A relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
(Ideally) Chartered by MICE or MIStructE;
Experienced in design, including buildability, of temporary works;
Experienced in workshop discussions with contractors and permanent designers;
Circa ten years' UK experience in temporary works design;
Ability to write sound technical reports;
Ability to self-manage and support the team;
Awareness to manage interfaces with AutoCAD and Revit;
Ability and awareness of relevant Structural design software;
Ability to design in major building materials including RC, Steel, masonry and timber;
Working knowledge to ensure that design complies with BS 5975;
Working knowledge of Eurocodes;
Rail experience preferred.
