Job Details:

Job Summary: This is an important role in delivering Cubic’s services to our customers. The main function of the role is to analyze, prepare, test, and deliver data into test and production systems. The majority of the activities are office-based. Travel to our client’s premises is required at times for meetings and specific service delivery tasks as required. This may include overnight stays of several days. Project & Service Delivery Provide detailed technical analysis for variation request responses Produce test plans and technical solutions in support of projects and service changes Configure test environments in accordance with Cubic’s configuration management procedures. Ensure that the test environment is an accurate representation of the target production system. Create test cases and scenarios to prove system and device functionality Execute approved test scenarios accurately and in a timely manner; recording the outcome of each distinct test step, providing metrics and supporting documentation in accordance with Cubic’s testing procedures. Produce artefacts associated with service and project obligations as undertaken by the team. This will include but is not limited to documentation, test results, physical media, maps, reports, etc. Provide accurate records of testing and acceptance associated with client handover. Facilitate the User acceptance testing for our customers. Produce documentation to support the entire life cycle of Basedata verification and delivery. Attend off-site customer and project meetings, independent test witnessing, and installations as required. Domain Investigate problems as they occur and assist with remedial or preventative actions. Respond to requests for support from stakeholders and team members, providing information, data, and/or recommendations for support in accordance with Cubic’s policies and procedures. Incidents will be tracked in Cubic’s incident management system. Implement and document agreed changes in accordance with Cubic’s change control procedures. Build relationships with stakeholders. Maintain and expand industry knowledge of our clients’ systems. KEY REQUIREMENTS (Skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience) Qualifications Essential: Degree Level educated or equivalent Desirable: Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent ISTQB Software Testing Foundation level or more Worked in a Transportation ticketing domain. Skills/Experience/Knowledge Essential: Able to write test plans/scripts based on requirements. High degree of experience with the customer’s principles Good understanding of Software testing principles and knowledge Good written communication skills Software testing background Experience in working with bespoke defect tracking tools (Test Rail, Jira, etc.) Computer literate, competent in MS Word and Excel Desirable: Proven experience in SQL Personal Qualities Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to explain system and device defects Problem solver Confident Self-starter Able to plan and manage multiple tasks Flexible and adaptable – willing to take on a variety of tasks Ability to work well with other members of the team Worker Type:
