This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services.
The role
As a Sub Contract Procurement Lead you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will be a key member of the MEHA Partner Procurement Team and report into the Procurement Lead.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
Ensure compliance with MEHA procurement and nuclear safety processes and engage regularly with internal key stakeholders.
Lead MEHA partner company subcontract procurements and liaise with the Construction team to understand their upcoming requirements and to develop and maintain the MEHA Partner Tender Event Schedule (TES).
Raise Subcontracts in accordance with MEHA Partner governance requirements, to meet NNB HPC Project and business objectives.
Identify procurement scope gaps and propose and implement mitigation measures as well as completing reporting for MEHA management highlighting successes, blockers, mitigations, and forecast work.
Support with production of procurement strategies, selection of tenderers, drafting and issue of Invitation to Tender documents, leading the cross-functional team through the tender assessment process, writing and presentation of tender recommendation reports, complete subcontract award governance.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, and is based onsite at Hinkley Point 3 days per week with 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Sub Contract Procurement Lead
Extensive experience of working with NEC Contracts.
Previous experience of Sub Contract Procurement.
