We are seeking to appoint a full-time, fixed-term Head of Computer Science. The Head of Computer Science will identify and promote best practice within the Computer Science department and co-ordinate cross-curricular initiatives both within and beyond LWC. They will liaise with Heads of Year and the Head of Academic Enrichment as required and attend Heads of Department meetings and other scheduled meetings as appropriate. You will be expected to carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the College’s policies under the direction of the Headmaster. Teaching at LWC requires that members of the academic staff be willing to contribute fully to the life of the College. This includes tutoring, co-curricular involvement, boarding house duties, cover duties, and attending parents’ evenings for the year groups taught. Liaison with parents is included in the sphere of the teacher’s responsibilities.
