Let our future be yours! Main duties of the job

Within ASPH, we have a homebirth service, an alongside birthing centre, a level 3 Neonatal Unit, and a high-risk maternal and fetal medicine service. We are also among one of the first Trusts nationally to implement biomechanics to support physiological births and reduce the need for intervention. This will give you the opportunity to be skilled in all areas of midwifery. An MDT approach is always used within these services, and we work extremely closely with our NICU team to provide the best outcome for babies that require their care. You will be provided opportunities for development and training within the Trust and courses offsite. Please note this is a Monday to Friday role with the expectation to cover the elective caesarean section pathway. Qualifications

Nursing or Midwifery degree or equivalent NMC Registered Midwife SSSA/Practice Assessor Experience

Experience as a qualified midwife and all clinical competencies achieved Clinical experience in a busy NHS hospital (or equivalent) Experience of working with technologies commonly used in the NHS (or equivalent) Completed band 5 preceptorship programme Data collection and audit Skills

You have knowledge & awareness of diversity and human rights as appropriate to your role You are able to communicate effectively to ensure high standards of care, treatment, service, or support as appropriate to your role Time management skills and able to remain calm and function effectively under pressure Able to be flexible in the workplace Demonstrable leadership skills Ability to motivate others Knowledge

Trust vision, values, and strategic objectives Evidence-based practice and its implementation Current issues affecting Maternity Services Clinical governance and risk management issues Understanding of national policies and guidelines including Clinical risk management, CNST, and NICE Disclosure and Barring Service Check
