January 2025 About the Role: Supply Desk is currently seeking flexible and reliable Supply Teachers or Cover Supervisors to join a well-established secondary school in High Wycombe. This role offers an exciting opportunity for educators looking for a dynamic and varied work schedule. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher. Deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain a positive, controlled learning environment. Manage student behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy. Provide students with appropriate tasks to keep them engaged and on track with the curriculum. Provide feedback to the class teacher on students' progress and classroom behaviour. Ensure students' health and safety is maintained while in the classroom. Adapt to different year groups and subjects as needed, providing continuity in the learning experience. Ideal Candidate: Experience working with secondary-aged students (preferred). A strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills. Ability to work across different subject areas and year groups. Flexibility and reliability in taking on short-term or ad-hoc assignments. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential for Cover Supervisor roles. A passion for education and the ability to motivate students. A proactive approach to supporting the school community.
