We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Public Health Staff Nurses 0 - 19, to join our forward-thinking Weymouth, North Dorset and Dorchester Localities. We have various part-time vacancies with the core team hours are 09:00 - 17:00 and no weekend working.

Main duties of the job

As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19, you will participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority Children's Services, Early Years Providers, Schools, voluntary and community sector agencies and other Health Care providers. You will be required to work closely with other members of the CYP Public Health Service 0 - 19, to provide services in response to identified needs, including safeguarding and supporting children and young people and their families, using evidence-based, early intervention strategies.

Knowledge, skills and training

Essential Registered Nurse Membership of relevant professional body - NMC Evidence of recent professional development Knowledge of safeguarding children

Job specific experience

Essential Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively

Desirable Recent previous experience within a comparable role

Managerial / supervisory experience

Desirable Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff

IT / resources

Essential Experience of using electronic patient record

Essential Evidence of demonstrating trust's values and behaviours

Business travel

Essential Ability to use own vehicle for trust business

Additional requirements
