15 hours per week plus overnight support Are you interested in working for an award-winning social care charity? Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants, but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be! Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections. Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and aspirations of the people we support are met. The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse. Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support. Let us introduce you to

Brian : Brian lives in his own home and receives support with most aspects of daily living. Brian is very active and loves being out going for nature walks where he splashes in puddles and enjoys the ever-changing landscape. Brian also enjoys some trampolining, going to the gym, and going cycling. A typical day could be supporting Brian with personal tasks within his home, maintaining his house and garden, going for a walk in the countryside, or going for a leisurely drive. Brian also loves to spend time with his family who he is very close to. For Brian, structure and routine are important - it would be beneficial if you have an understanding of Autism. Brian likes his team to be calm, and it's preferable that they enjoy the same activities that he does. He also likes people around him who have a good sense of humour. Brian is non-verbal and relies on visual aids to communicate his needs and wishes. It’s not always possible for Brian to enjoy what many people would consider ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support. If you think you share the same interests and have the commitment, dedication, and above all, desire to support Brian to get the most out of life; then please apply now! Enable needs you and your values to help us create an equal society for every person who has a learning disability. You don't need experience in care to start your social care career with Enable. We recruit people based on their values and transferable skills. Wherever your journey has taken you up until now, join us, and together we will forge a new path in what could potentially be the most rewarding role you have ever had!
