Team Leader – Children and Young People Residential My Client is a leading provider of support packages to young people in and leaving care, in the Wigan area. I am recruiting for a permanent Team Leader to join them at the home in Wigan. Salary:

£34,000 – £37,500 (inc sleep-in) dependent on experience, plus on-call £60 per day. Essential Criteria: Must have experience supporting young people in a residential setting. Preferred Criteria: NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care. Driving License. The days are all 24-hour sleeps and will be on a 2 on 4 off basis. This role involves supporting young people aged between 5-18, helping to increase their independence skills. It is essential that you have experience working within a similar setting and preferably have completed NVQ3 Children & Young People Workforce or a similar qualification within this sector. Qualifications/Requirements: High standard of general education. NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care – Children and Young People (CCYP) or equivalent. Willingness to undertake further training. Current full driving licence with business insurance preferable. Job Purpose: To be responsible for the provision of support for vulnerable people (Service Users) for the Company. Main Duties & Responsibilities: To assist the Young person’s allocated Social Worker in the delivery of the service. Provide transport/escort to the young person as directed in line with care plans. Conduct welcome and induction for young people. Ongoing assessments of Service Users’ needs. Provide ongoing support and monitoring of Service Users. Assist in welfare and NHS issues. Preparation of reports. Arrange appointments with various partner agencies. Maintain regular contact with young people. Inform customers of support groups. Assist Move-On of Service Users. Some shifts may also be 24 hours (sleepovers), with great flexibility, and 2-3 days a week would be full-time hours. Excellent company with a great unit. INDSUP #12305469
