Teynham C of E Primary School has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in Term 5, 2025. We have a teaching role in Reception and we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated teacher to join our hardworking team on a maternity contract from 2025. Current indications are that the position will be for up to 15 months. However, we are expanding to a two-form entry, and once our exciting new build is completed, there is the potential for this role to become permanent. This role is not suitable for an ECT, therefore we are looking for experienced teachers or teachers who have already completed their ECT programmes. Please state your curriculum strengths within your application, as all teachers beyond their first ECT year lead a subject. At Teynham, we have worked hard to promote wellbeing for all children and staff. Work-life balance is a key focus, and teachers are given the autonomy to make the best decisions for their class. We believe all the children should be given the opportunity to Learn, Enjoy, Grow. You will:

Have high expectations for all pupils and believe everyone can achieve, with a track record of accelerating the progress of children. Have an engaging teaching style that inspires all types of learners and fosters independence and confidence. Be passionate, flexible, and proactive in your role. Enjoy a collaborative approach to school improvement. Be an expert subject leader. We can offer:

Well-behaved, enthusiastic children who enjoy learning. Supportive and friendly staff, parents, and Governors who work closely together. Continued Professional Development. Opportunities for collaboration within a network of local schools. A successful school with a distinctive Christian ethos. An outside space which is second to none, including a large well-resourced Forest School, wellbeing garden, and spacious grounds for outdoor activities, learning, and play. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
