Location: Littlehampton Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Full Time – 5 days a week Teaching Personnel are looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to start in February. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teacher to provide individualized support and guidance to the student. Main Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support for a student with SEN, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met. Implement and adapt learning activities to suit the student's individual needs and learning style. Monitor and record student progress, reporting to the SENCO and classroom teacher as required. Use appropriate behaviour management strategies to support the student's positive behaviour. Requirements: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential. Experience working with students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and/or learning disabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers. Understanding of SEN, including strategies for supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
