Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Systems & Controls Development to join their team. This permanent position is vital for ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes and product quality through the development and sustainment of robust systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Exemplifying a safety-first mindset and ensuring compliance with aerospace health, safety, and environmental policies. Technical expertise at a local project level in deploying manufacturing improvement initiatives. Providing technical expertise to solve issues related to vendor schedule and/or quality. Analysing technical issues, risks, and opportunities to enhance product value. Maintaining positive team relationships with internal and external customers and colleagues. Continuous improvement of production processes through Lean initiatives. Implementing electrical/electronic process improvement initiatives. Effective project management. Incorporating SCADA-based technology and systems. Introduction of embedded process analytics and networked OEE systems. Automation of batch processes and RFID tracking. Managing key projects and providing leadership. Knowledge of CMMS systems. Job Requirements:

Technical expertise in manufacturing engineering and automation in sectors like aerospace, automotive, electrical, chemical or pharmaceutical engineering. A professional qualification in electrical/electronic controls-based engineering. Experience with high-speed manufacturing and embedding automated systems. Experience in PLC programming - Rockwell/Siemens. Knowledge of SCADA systems and integration. Familiarity with OEE systems and industry 4.0 technologies. Understanding of condition-based monitoring. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques. Required Qualification Requirements:

Professional qualification HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Preferred Qualifications:

Project management qualification/experience. IEE Regulations. DMAIC Green/Black belt.
