projects within set timescales and budgets while meeting all relevant legislation and standards. Responsibilities: Undertake surveys, site inspections, and site investigations. Manage a design team to produce drawings, design decision logs, designers' risk assessments, calculations, specifications, reports, feasibility studies, technical reviews, and cost estimates. Qualifications: A degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related subject; ideally a member of a relevant institution or an Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer. Good understanding of the railway environment and civil engineering design delivery, including CDM Regulations 2015. Proficient with CAD or other design software packages and Microsoft Office. Hold a full driving licence. Hold a valid PTS or have the relevant level of fitness and health to hold an unrestricted PTS. Minimum Requirements: Chartered or near-chartered engineer (I.Eng minimum). Member of a professional institution (PWI, ICE, IStructE). Civil and/or structural background. Competent in design delivery. Understanding of UK railway design processes. Able to carry out design checks of others' work. Can be appointed as design CRE (Contractor's Responsible Engineer). Rail industry experience is essential. Prepared to work the occasional night or weekend as required (not regular and not frequent odd surveys and site visits). Prepared to travel to sites and client meetings across the UK. You will be required to take the lead and manage a team, mentoring and developing junior team members. This role comes with future progression opportunities in the Senior Leadership Team. Note:
