Main duties of the job

Ensure all administrative / coding duties are carried out efficiently and effectively whilst always having the patient at the forefront of everything you do, enabling our GPs to always deliver the best patient care. Ensuring new / existing patients' paper & electronic records are summarised / coded accurately and efficiently in line with in-house KPIs, customer SLAs and appropriate SOPs / guidelines. Ensure you understand all aspects of your role and adhere to the teams SOP. Provide cover / overtime for your team during periods of annual leave / sickness. About us

Job responsibilities

You will be required to: Maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail to meet the needs of the role. Process all areas of your work efficiently and effectively. Always have an enquiring mind whilst keeping ahead of any process change / improvements. Treat all aspects of your role with the highest level of confidentiality. Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Essential Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet the demands of your role / KPIs. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail Previous admin experience Good keyboard and Microsoft office skills Good verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a 'can-do' attitude and positive outlook towards your work. Able to work autonomously and equally well in a team. Desirable Understanding of Medical Terminology Previous coding experience in a primary care setting Experience in an NHS admin role and the use of in-house medical systems in a primary care setting, preferably SystmOne Employer details
