Procurement Manager - Indirect

The position of Procurement Manager - Indirect involves: You will be a key member of the Procurement department for the Gregory Group reporting directly to the Director of Fleet & Procurement. Be responsible for managing all indirect spend areas including Agency, IT & Telecoms, Facilities Management, Utilities and Workwear & PPE (circa £50m). Develop strategic Category Plans, taking into account market factors and agree an opportunity pipeline with the business for the next 24 months. Lead on commercial negotiations with supply partners and the drafting of legal contracts. Deliver value through sourcing exercises and continuous improvement through supplier management of key strategic relationships. Ensure supply partners adhere to the group’s minimum standards (financial stability, business ethics, insurances, ESG etc.). Proactively identify, evaluate, and drive opportunities of procurement options to provide value for money. Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, to promote procurement expertise across the organisation. Work with supply partners to implement initiatives to support the groups sustainability agenda (e.g. more sustainable products, improved recycling etc.). Proven, demonstrable experience in a similar senior procurement role. Experience of indirect spend categories. Understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions. An effective leader and influencer. Experience with liaising and influencing at Senior Management level. Excellent IT skills to include MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. CIPS qualification (or working towards). Why Gregory Distribution? Salary for Procurement Manager – Indirect is between £45,000pa to £50,000pa, depending on experience.
