Transport Supervisor - Thame
Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to join our Distribution client based in Thame - Oxfordshire.
This role is a hybrid role and will include a variety of duties including driving, loading trucks, route planning, warehousing, and ensuring operations run smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a step into a supervisory role or equally someone that is looking to take a step back from a management role.
Hours: 8 am-6 pm (45 hours a week)
Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 (DOE)
Duties:
Warehouse:
Scanning and labelling - ensuring all the pallets are scanned and labelled for daily deliveries, you will be responsible for ensuring that all pallets have appropriate labels and they are correctly allocated to the correct vehicles.
Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift.
Moving and collecting pallets.
Driving:
Collect and deliver to assigned locations in a timely manner.
Providing excellent customer service.
Operational:
Monitoring and responding to emails and telephone calls from clients, depots and colleagues.
Updating the internal warehouse CRM system.
Overseeing H&S, carrying out risk assessments and taking part in briefing.
Requirements:
Experience within the Transport/Logistics industry.
Class 1 or 2 licence (is an advantage).
FLT licence (is an advantage).
Experience using Warehouse management systems.
