A well-established manufacturing company based in Basildon is looking to recruit
Development Chemist
to join their team. If you would like to work for a company with an eye on
new sustainable materials , looking forward toward a better, greener future, this role is for you. As a Development Chemist, you will
develop new products , answer customer enquiries, and support quality.
What's on offer: Hours of work - Mon to Thurs 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 2.00pm 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays Free parking 5% bonus based on company performance The role: Stay up to date with
new technology, materials and processes Develop new products
for specific markets or customer needs Manufacture and test development products Visit customer sites to run trials, identify issues, and make improvements Design and undertake laboratory work
in response to customer requirements and make product recommendations Provide technical support
to customers Act as a technical resource for Manufacturing and Sales working within project teams Assist in cross-training across the business Investigate product changes, failures, and non-compliance issues Perform general maintenance and/or calibration of laboratory equipment What's required: HND or Degree in a physical science such as Chemistry Extensive
experience of product development
or similar with a proven track record of innovation Experience of Business Management Systems such as ISO9001 & 14001 is highly desirable Ability to influence and be a credible source for technical knowledge, becoming the subject matter expert Must be a good problem solver who gets to the root cause of problems Must have
