I am partnering with a large, successful organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team.
Your new role
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering the processing of month-end and will manage a team of 4. You will support the Assistant Financial Controller and will take on the following duties: Delivering a timely and accurate month-end process Reviewing of journals ensuring all journals are fully explained Reviewing control accounts to ensure best practice is being adhered to Ensuring all control accounts provide enough information to allow strong forward forecasting Leading development of financial systems and processes to ensure robust cost capture and control Ensuring clear lines of communication between the management accounts team and Business Partners, Financial Reporting & Analysis Teams, and internal/external auditors SAGE system implementation lead for all transactional processes Designing and implementing efficient processes to ensure robust financial control What you'll need to succeed
You will be a CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with proven experience of managing the month-end process in a large corporate environment. You will have the ability to create strong relationships at all levels of the organisation and be able to interpret large volumes of data to produce accurate financial reporting.
