Job Description Financial Controller Key Responsibilities: Lead the monthly management accounts process, providing insightful analysis and commentary for board meetings and steering strategic decision-making at the highest level Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes while managing a team of three qualified accountants Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy and accountability Oversee cash flow management and working capital optimisation, implementing improvements to support the company's growth trajectory Partner with the Commercial Director to analyse new market opportunities and provide financial modelling for expansion projects The Successful Applicant To excel as the Financial Controller you should be: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience in a commercial environment Strong technical accounting skills with exceptional Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems Proven track record of presenting to and influencing C-suite stakeholders Commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident, proactive approach Experience in FMCG or retail sectors highly desirable Natural leadership abilities with a track record of developing high-performing teams
