Employer: Hastings Borough Council Location: East Sussex Sector: Environmental Health and Licensing Team Contract: Permanent Hours: Full Time (37 per week) This diverse and challenging role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference to people’s health and well-being. The successful candidate will play a central role in the delivery of the Environmental Health and Licensing Team’s objectives. We are ideally looking to recruit someone who is experienced and technically competent in all aspects of Environmental Health, particularly in Environmental Protection. You will need to be an excellent communicator and happy to embrace a more generic approach to delivering services in our historic seaside town. A full driving licence is essential for this post, which also attracts a separate car benefit allowance of £2,207, as is a willingness to work outside of normal office hours from time to time. There’s also the added opportunity to participate in our emergency out of hours on call service, which attracts a standby payment of £9,600 per annum. In addition to support with training and personal development, we operate family friendly flexible and hybrid/home working policies, option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme, opportunities for training, learning and continuous professional development, car benefit allowance and generous annual leave package.
