To assist the nursing team to ensure the day-to-day running of the Chemotherapy unit is maintained to the highest standard. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the nurses and senior support workers with clinical duties including observations, height and weight, blood glucose, urinalysis, and general day-to-day running of the unit. The employee will work closely with the nursing team and nurse in charge to know what tasks are required daily. The employee will be responsible for using the relevant IT systems to identify patients who require treatment. They will be competent in taking and acting on observations, maintaining mandatory training, and adhering to trust policies. Person Specification
Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject or the equivalent level of working experience Knowledge
Basic understanding of the NHS Some knowledge of data protection and patient confidentiality Some knowledge of infection control Experience
Working within a multi-professional team Skills
Ability to communicate with the general public Ability to project a professional manner and approach Values Based Question
