Your new company Hays Senior Finance are partnering exclusively with an established manufacturing business based in Chesterfield who are looking to add a Financial Controller to their finance team. Your new role As Financial Controller, you will be reporting to the Group Head of Finance and responsible for management accounts preparation and Business Partnering to support the Production Plant and wider business.

Main responsibilities include: Month-end Management Accounts and associated commentary preparation for the production plant KPI dashboard preparation and control for the production plant Developing a business partnering relationship with the key production site stakeholders Challenging business unit performance and carrying out investigative and analytical work with a view to understanding and enhancing business performance Involvement in the preparation of Budgets and Forecast for the Business Unit Maintaining standard costs for the Business Unit Involvement in Balance Sheet Control and review Involvement in the yearly audit and some of the statutory accounting processes to gain exposure to the full accounting cycle Adopting a continuous improvement mindset and embracing Lean Manufacturing concepts in your support of the business unit On time and accurate production of the Production Management Accounts and associated commentary On time and accurate production of the production KPI dashboard Budgetary and Forecast creation and monitoring Audit and Statutory Accounting contribution where required What you'll need to succeed An accountancy qualification or relevant experience Understanding and experience of manufacturing accounting Accuracy and attention to detail Good quality presentation of information to stakeholders Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Excel The ability to perform well under pressure Ability to undertake tasks from outset to completion Good analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills What you'll get in return A fantastic opportunity to join an established business that puts its employees and their local communities at the heart of what they do.
