Ensure that the organisation meets its statutory obligations, maintains good governance practices and manages risks effectively Facilities, IT and administration
Oversee the London office facilities and potential development and implementation of any operational strategies for a presence in the EU Working closely with the relevant team, ensure that the organisation’s technology infrastructure supports its operational needs Team leadership
Bring together people across the different functions in the operations team to ensure team effectiveness, engagement and cohesion Line manage direct reports, including their recruitment, performance management, coaching and development. Some travel, including internationally, will be necessary as well as some out-of-hours calls. Skills and experience Essential Extensive experience as a COO or in a related role, with expertise across various corporate functions Proven track record of developing and implementing operational strategies that align with organisational goals and values Understanding of the role of fundraising in the not for profit context Exceptional organisational skills Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams Ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholders, including employees, board members, funders and partners Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business environments A passion for building and growing an organisation Strong numerical and analytical skills Fluency in English Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally Desirable Experience in or a passion for climate change, ESG or sustainability Experience in the not for profit sector
