Third Party Risk Manager – Technology

Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit a Third Party Risk Manager to join our Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team in London (with remote working too). The GTS team operates on a global basis and we are looking for a Third Party Risk Manager to oversee initial due diligence as part of onboarding new third parties and ensure all third parties meet our security standards.

The role will involve working with key stakeholders across all of our Business Units and within the Pacific Life Enterprise to maintain our third party inventory and report to the relevant boards and committees as required.

Duties

Oversee initial due diligence

Manage and maintain the third-party inventory

Support the configuration of an internal third-party risk management tool

Maintain knowledge of core and local regulatory requirements

Support requests from regulators for information on third-party risk management

Support supplier relationship reviews for critical third parties

Prepare third party risk reports for Division and Operational Risk Management Committees

Ensure that inherent risks and control gaps are accurately identified and remediated

Skills/Experience

Essential

Strong understanding of life (re)insurance industry or financial services

At least 5 years’ relevant business experience

Experience of third-party management would be preferred but not essential

Ability to work independently e.g. as project manager or on discrete tasks

Excellent networking skills across PL Re’s Business Units, locations and departments

Ability to communicate information to a variety of stakeholders both orally and in writing

Experience within Insurance or Financial Service Solutions would be essential; however, other regulated industry experience would be considered.

Good relationship skills and proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
