Your role As more and more patients are treated outside a traditional hospital setting, the role of the home care Nurse is developing. We work in a variety of environments such as clinics, residential accommodation, and patients' own homes. We are able to treat individuals at school or even in a work environment. Our nurses help the NHS meet the needs of elderly, disabled, or vulnerable patients who may not be able to easily visit the hospital. We are able to help support our patients to become more independent in the management of their treatment and to make the whole treatment journey more convenient. You will need to be kind, compassionate, and caring with a desire to provide excellent patient experience and safe and effective care. Duties Perform patient observations and ensure that any patient is fit to proceed with their treatment. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team. Provide compassionate support to the patient and family. Educate patients and their families to promote understanding and independence. Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams ensuring that patient safety is paramount. Requirements Current NMC registration. Experience of administering S/C, IM, or IV medications. Full NMC registration, excellent cannulation/phlebotomy skills, experience in standard and complex infusion therapies. Chemotherapy experience would be advantageous. Annual salary : £36,646 to £38,000 (depending on experience) plus London weighting. Benefits : Car allowance up to £6,465 per annum or entry to a salary sacrifice scheme. 33 days holiday (including bank holidays). Annual company bonus scheme (subject to eligibility). Pension - you will be auto-enrolled after 3 months of employment at 5% (with an employer contribution of 4%). You can also opt to increase your contribution to 6% to which the employer will contribute 8%. Life assurance 10 x salary with a max of £300,000. Private medical insurance.
