Description
Due to recent, continued growth, NES Security are looking to employ a new apprentice Security Engineer! The successful individual will get the opportunity to work for an established employer, and over the course of 3 years, will learn and grow within the industry - eventually becoming a multi-disciplined engineer.
As an apprentice Security Engineer, you will be learning about, and working on, installing, repairing and maintaining the following fire and security equipment: CCTV Intruder alarms Access control Door entry Security system upgrades Entry Requirements
Desired Skills/Qualities:
Must hold a valid UK driver's license Ideally live within 10-15 miles of postcode E5 9AB OR N15 6AB Able to pass an enhanced DBS background check Ideally have some experience with electrics, or hold an electric-related qualification Genuine interest in learning more about the wider security industry Technically minded, with decent IT skills Comfortable with travelling to Watford training centre 1 week in every 8 weeks for block release classroom training Training to be Provided
Skills for Security will deliver the Level 3 apprenticeship. You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre, and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies. You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company requires you to complete. You will follow a primarily Security-based pathway. Things to Consider
The apprenticeship is 36 months and full commitment is required throughout the duration of your studies. Training is delivered via block release every 1 week in every 8 weeks at the Watford training centre. The wage for this role is up to £7.55p/h - dependent on experience. Future Prospects
The successful apprentice will go on to become a well-rounded full-time engineer following completion of the apprenticeship.
