Position Summary Are you an experienced Quality Manager or Food Safety professional looking for your next career move? We have a brilliant opportunity for a Quality Manager to join us at our Tutbury Factory and play an essential role in our production and manufacturing operations! Manufacturing in Nestlé is one of the most vital cogs in ensuring our consumers receive a perfect quality product, at the right time and place whilst driving losses from our business to maximize efficiency & productivity. By following company policies, standards, norms, and applicable legal regulations, you will act as the guardian of food safety and compliance on site. You will have the freedom in your role to challenge all other functions in the pursuit of zero defects as the essential base for maintaining consumer trust and preference. You will promote a Quality culture across the factory teams. A day in the life of a Quality Manager Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, your overall responsibility will be to ensure that quality, compliance, food safety and hygiene standards are maintained and promoted within the site. You will manage a quality team of up to 10 direct reports and a wider team of 20. You will lead them to enable production and its supporting functions to maintain a stable process by carrying out process capability deployments and defining the controls and practices that ensure a reliable product and process. You will ensure adherence to product quality standards and good manufacturing practices including the correct implementation and supervision of the factory pest management programme. Manage the internal auditing programme, assessing the performance of the quality system and reporting its effectiveness to management while proposing actions for improvement. It will be your responsibility to ensure that corrective action from these audits is closed out within agreed timescales. What will make you successful Ideally, you will be coming to us with proven experience of quality assurance gained within a food manufacturing/production background. A strong background of line management will also be key for success in this role. Other key credentials we will be looking for: QA Auditing experience. Microbiological knowledge along with food technology and hygiene experience. Experience of new product introduction. Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and principles. Proven record in managing quality assurance systems, including related ISO standards. What you need to know What can we offer in return?
