There will be scope for involvement in supporting new evidence-based therapeutic treatments such as Structured Clinical Management (SCM). You will also have opportunities to work alongside colleagues on service development projects and input into the current transformation plan in line with national plans for integrated Mental Health community services.
The psychological therapies team works in an integrated way with all members of the wider team. Our multidisciplinary team aims to promote an optimum level of recovery, independence and social inclusion for each individual.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) to work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.
You should be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and willingness to work proactively in both multi-disciplinary teams and within a multi-agency context. The job will involve working alongside experienced MDT colleagues to offer one-to-one evidence-based psychological interventions to service users and their families, contributing to and delivering group work. The role also includes joint and indirect work with colleagues (team formulation, staff training, support and consultation around psychological issues); and appropriate audit, service development, evaluation and research activities as required.
The post will suit a candidate with experience of work with adults with complex presentations, such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, complex trauma and personality difficulties. The psychological therapies team includes both clinical psychologists and CBT psychotherapists who offer a range of interventions including CAT, CBT, EMDR, ACT, family work, DBT-informed work, and CFT.
