The role of Pipeline Manager will oversee and effectively manage customer calls, emails, and face-to-face engagements for clients enquiring for a Start-up Loan. You will be at the forefront of the service and crucial to the customer journey and flow through of applications. All SUL customers contacting the team will receive a full business diagnostic to identify their eligibility and business support/funding requirements. After training, this role can be conducted remotely, though travel to Salford Keys (office) will be required 1 day per week. Key Responsibilities: Handling client enquiries via phone (inbound and outbound campaigns), email, and face-to-face (events/networking). Ownership of the enquiry inbound line, as well as ownership of a dedicated inbox. Liaising with the Start-up Loan Company’s Digital team to establish oneself as GCBF’s CRM champion. Managing a robust pipeline of enquiries through the Atlas CRM system, ensuring maximum deal flow to a team of underwriters. Working alongside the Business Support Manager in delivery of workshops and 1-to-1 support. Completion of SUL diagnostic with all customers to assess the eligibility and needs of each applicant. Throughout the client engagement process, using appropriate questions, tools, processes, and systems where required and establishing/maintaining effective relationships and key client contacts. Guide and support the client through a set of broad issues affecting their business, providing information or access to internal/external resources or solutions to support their business. Ensure all potential clients comply with the project eligibility criteria by ensuring that initial eligibility checks, prior to formal assessment and action planning are carried out and recorded. Following the initial conversation, clients will be referred and introduced to appropriate internal/external services identified as appropriate, and this will be recorded on the CRM system. Undertake outbound campaigns as required/instructed, including warm and cold calls to potential customers across the region to promote and introduce GCBF services and to make qualified referrals internally and externally. Recording daily, weekly, and monthly performance on team performance trackers to feed into 121 KITs, training needs analysis, and ongoing team training and development. About you: Client relationship management skill, able to liaise at all levels within a business. Sales and account management skills. Outbound client acquisition experience. Excellent planning, organisational, administrative, and project management skills. Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised management information systems, spreadsheets, diary management, email, and CRM databases. Requirements: Degree-level business education (not essential), or degree-level qualification with a management body or the relevant business experience to match those. Business experience in the private sector, including liaising with senior management or Director level. Understanding and experience of using project management techniques. Technical knowledge in the key areas of starting up a business. Knowledge and understanding of the key national, sub-regional, and local organisations and their role in supporting economic development and specifically business growth.
