This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company that specializes in Security / Access Control Systems for some of the largest Utility companies across the UK as part of the National Grid Technology Framework. We are looking for an ambitious CCTV / Access Control Project Engineer to help develop the business during an exciting phase of growth. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of projects in line with agreed timescales.
UK travel is a requirement of the role, so a full driving license is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Have ownership of the overall project including planning, coordinating, and execution. Attend Project Team meetings with key stakeholders to report on progress. Identify risks or issues regarding project progress and offer mitigation to resolve said risks. Be fully accountable for project delivery, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, in accordance with contract requirements, and within budget. Set the overall standard for projects/contracts. Identify issues and ensure they are resolved in a controlled and timely manner. Ensure contract programmes are planned, reviewed, and delivered. Manage effective client relationships and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders on project/contract progress. Ensure operating plans are in place to guarantee sufficient resources and materials. Resolve most operational issues, with any business-critical issues referred to the Operations Director. Comply with company standards, policies, and procedures. Manage all commercial activities associated with the project including delivery of the gross margin, cost control, and other key commercial and financial metrics. Minimum Requirements:
Degree or equivalent qualification in a commercial or related discipline. Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work in close partnership with clients, stakeholders, and end users. Delivery-driven with the ability to set targets and manage/motivate multi-disciplinary teams to meet time, cost, and quality objectives. Experience in project delivery. Strategic, operational, technical, and management skills. Advantageous Qualifications:
Safe Control of Operations 1 & 2 (SCO 1 & 2) - Gas Safe Control of Operations 91 (SCO 91) – Gas National Grid Person - Substation National Grid Competent Person - Substation EUSR Safety Health and Environmental Awareness - Gas Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) SMSTS In addition to a competitive salary and company vehicle, you will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone.
