Residential Support Worker Barnet £17/hr Start date: ASAP Full Time: Mon - Fri - 36 hrs a week Hatched Recruitment is looking for a Residential Support Worker in the Barnet area. This is a newly opened children's home based in Hendon NW4. It is a 2-bed home, supporting 2 young people. Shift work and weekend work will apply. There is an onsite driveway to park. Enhanced DBS required. Key Responsibilities To work in a small team to support and implement the development of the children's home. To enhance and effect change for the benefit of all children by acquiring necessary skills through training and development. Key Tasks To ensure that the young people's needs are recognized and met, including challenging discrimination both within and outside the home. To protect the young people from harm in and outside the home. To assist management in compliance with Ofsted, legislation, and the ethos and policies of the company. To exercise responsible control over the children to ensure their safety and well-being, assisting them in developing acceptable standards of personal hygiene and behavior, including encouraging adherence to house rules. To participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the individual young people's care plans. To organize and supervise recreational and leisure activities both in and out of the home, providing the children with an interesting and stimulating life, which may include time away from home on holidays and camps. To ensure positive participation in the children's home and attend training. Organisational Responsibilities To undertake broadly similar duties commensurate with the level of the post as required by the Manager. To fulfill Health & Safety responsibilities. To work within the provisions of the Data Protection Act, observing strict confidentiality in all aspects of work undertaken. The post holder will be expected to undertake necessary training and development for the role. The post holder will be expected to competently use electronic systems effectively.
