This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to deliver and lead pharmacy services within Dermatology. This is a new post within the Trust due to an expansion of the current Dermatology services. The successful candidate will provide an active role in developing and monitoring treatment pathways for dermatology patients, working closely with our Consultant Dermatologists and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The post-holder will be an integral part of the dermatology multidisciplinary team. There is scope to develop a role in outpatient clinics and take an active role as a prescriber in this setting. Main Duties of the Job

Provide holistic, specialist pharmaceutical care service to patients attending Dermatology clinics, including advice and counselling on biologic and high-risk therapies. Ensure continuity of supply of specialist on homecare therapies. Review patients as part of a pharmacist-led consultation which may include prescribing medication, ordering & interpreting blood tests and corresponding with relevant members of the dermatology MDT. Maintain and develop Homecare services for Dermatology. Maintain records of patients on biologic therapies and assist with monitoring, including BlueTeq to ensure compliance with NICE and commissioning guidelines. Manage Medicines Safety issues related to Dermatology and ensure compliance e.g. with Pregnancy Prevention Programme for oral retinoids. Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma / MSc or equivalent qualification Independent Prescriber with appropriate annotation on GPhC register or willing to undertake Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent Formal management and/or leadership qualification Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

Comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner including a solid grounding in a broad range of clinical specialties. Experience working as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting. Computer literate and able to use Windows applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and internet. High standard of oral and written (including report writing) communication skills with attention to detail. Good understanding of current hospital pharmacy practice and future direction. Confidence in discussing clinical guidelines and patient management plans with senior clinicians. Experience providing education, training and supervision of staff. Clinical pharmacy experience within dermatology and enthusiasm to develop this. Evidence of involvement in pharmacy practice research and/or audit. Publication of research in a peer-reviewed journal. Experience line managing and/or conducting formal appraisals. Evidence of involvement in writing guidelines. Presentation of abstract on pharmacy practice research at a regional or national conference. Important Information About Your Application
