This is a great opportunity for a Junior Design Engineer to join a growing innovative business. We are seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on field experience and a passion for electrical design. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training to enhance their skills and knowledge, contributing to exciting projects and adhering to electrical regulations. Your responsibilities as Junior Design Engineer will include: Assist in designing and developing electrical systems and panels. Perform cable calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Support the creation of electrical designs in line with BS17601 and other relevant regulations. Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement project specifications. Interpret and apply knowledge of electrical regulations to ensure safe and effective designs. Collaborate on the preparation and review of technical documentation and schematics. Assist with testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems as needed. The Requirements: College-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (NVQ or similar). Real-world, hands-on field experience, preferably in electrical installation or maintenance. Strong understanding of electrical regulations and standards. Knowledge of cable calculations and their application in design. Desirable: Qualified electrician with panel building experience. Familiarity with BS17601 standards. Certification in Design and Verification of Electrical Installations (e.g., 2390-12 or equivalent).
