Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

4 on 4 off, rotating 06:00 - 18:00/18:00 - 06:00
£35.00 Per Hour (3 - 4 months contract)
The successful candidate will have previous mechanical or multi-skilled experience within manufacturing and a solid background in Health & Safety. You will provide engineering support to production to ensure the efficient performance of all equipment.
Responsibilities
Conduct planned and predictive maintenance of processing and packaging assets Respond to breakdowns Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) and action as required Lead or support operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups Manufacture and repair component parts for machinery Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets or processes Ensure that all H&S procedures and engineering best practices are adhered to at all times Accurate & timely records are entered and recorded on all work carried out, root causes of failures, and of spares/consumables used Skills & Experience
Time served apprenticeship or equivalent Recognised Engineering qualification Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Flexible working attitude Competent electrical / fault finding & analysis skills Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Methodical & strong attention to detail
