Design Engineer - Medical Simulation Products | Bristol | Up to £40k
My client, a global leader in medical simulation technology, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team in Bristol. With a £30M turnover and ambitious growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical training devices.
Location : Bristol City Centre (BS2), near Temple Meads Pattern: Office-based with 1 day WFH per week
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new medical simulation products from prototype to production
Create and manage CAD files and documentation using Solidworks
Produce high-quality working prototypes and manage their testing
Work collaboratively with project leads and engineering teams
Create detailed product specifications and assembly instructions
Liaise with external suppliers and in-house tooling teams
Contribute to product evaluation and modification processes
Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new product development
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years' product development experience
Strong Solidworks CAD proficiency
Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Design Engineering
Proven track record in solving complex design challenges
Creative approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication and visualization skills
Strong organizational abilities
Experience working with manufacturing teams and suppliers
Ability to work to deadlines and specifications
Package:
Salary up to £50k
