Supply Chain Improvement Engineer

Glasgow City, PA4 9RT

£52-58k, bonus, pension and healthcare

Are you a procurement, buying, or supply chain professional driven by finding and implementing improvements?

If so, this role is for you. The hiring business is a manufacturer of capital equipment sold globally to other hi-tech manufacturing sectors. With an already lean and efficient production process, they are now looking to drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, or sustainability through the supply base and into materials management. This newly created position aims to proactively seek out waste and improve supplier performance.

Responsibilities:

Identify new suppliers and onboard them to ensure fulfillment of OTIF targets. Work with existing suppliers to find new improvement and cost-down initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams including design, materials planning, production, and logistics to understand and manage current and future materials requirements.

This role would suit an individual with experience in supply chain management, buying, or procurement, who feels they can do more than their current remit and may be frustrated by working in an environment that is too regimented or resistant to change. If this is you, we'd like to hear from you.

About 1492 Search: In a nutshell - We discover great people! Created with the belief that the process is just as necessary as the opportunity, we decided there was a better recruitment method.
