CNC Machine Setter Operator - Production Department (Halstead)

Role Highlights Pay: Depending on experience Work Hours: Structured 40-hour workweek with paid lunch breaks. Choose between early shifts or late shifts (4 days only). Early shift: Mon-Fri 6am - 2pm (paid 0.5hr lunch) Total = 40hrs Late shift: Mon-Thurs 2pm -11pm =36 hrs (paid 0.5hr lunch) Fri 2pm - 6pm = 4 hrs Total = 40hrs Shift Premiums: Early shift: +£5.00/day. Late shift: +£10.00/day. Professional Growth: Continuous learning opportunities on advanced CNC multi-spindle machines. Training provided on Mazak controls. Supportive Team Environment: Work closely with the Production Supervisor and a collaborative team. Diverse Responsibilities: Engage in tasks ranging from machine setup to quality inspections. Role Responsibilities Machine Setup:

Programming Mazak CNC machines. Operational Control:

Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, feeds) and operate semi-automated machines. Quality Assurance:

Inspect parts using precision tools and periodically test machine operations. Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve issues during shifts. Documentation:

Maintain accurate production and defect records. Safety Compliance:

Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe workplace. Skills and Experience

Technical Expertise:

Proven experience as a CNC Machine Setter Operator/Programmer. Familiarity:

Familiarity with factory and machine shop practices. Educational Background:

Production Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (e.g., NVQs, ONC). Attention to Detail:

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Problem-Solving:

Strong decision-making skills and adaptability. Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork. Additional Skills (Preferred):

Experience with Mazak CNC machines. Crane and forklift operation proficiency. Personal Qualities
