Infrastructure & Network Architect

MERITUS are working with an expanding defence company based in Stevenage. They're looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Network Architect to join their Infrastructure Division.
The successful candidate will join an experienced team working on the design, build & architecture of complex, secure server & network infrastructure as part of a wide scale digital transformation. To be successful you will need a strong technical background in Infrastructure / Network engineering as well as demonstrable experience in the design / architecture of secure systems. Active SC Clearance is required (DV would be a bonus).
The role is hybrid with 1-2 days per week in the Stevenage office.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end server & network infrastructure solutions that align with business goals. Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and senior leaders to understand project requirements, business needs, and constraints. Ensure the designed solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Coordinate and collaborate with developers, engineers, and other IT teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Required Skills:
Strong technical background in server & network infrastructure engineering i.e. Windows Server, VMware, Cisco products, routing & switching & Firewalls. Demonstrable experience in the architecture / design of secure infrastructure solutions. Previous experience in secure / regulated industries i.e. Aerospace, Defence / national Security. Active SC security clearance (DV would be a bonus).
