Are you passionate about working in education?

Are you experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Predominately those with Autism, Speech and Language needs and additional learning needs?

Sugarman Education are recruiting for people who are available for a minimum of 1 to 5 days a week (depending on your availability) and are able to reliably commute and provide daily cover to our clients within the Borough of Croydon. This will require being on standby from 7am on the days you have said you are available and work from 08:30 to 16:00.

The ideal candidate will:

Be proactive, engaging and reliable Have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one. Have classroom experience, tutoring or mentoring. Be available from 7am in the week and be able to be on standby. Classroom and SEN experience is essential.

In turn, you will receive: Consistent support from a dedicated consultant. Experience in a range of schools.

Duties include (but aren't limited to): 1:1 support with a child or small groups Supporting the class as a whole Assisting the class teacher Fostering relationships with parents Caring and looking after children during break times and lunch times Supervising children during activities Managing challenging behaviour Motivating children and being an excellent role model
