About the Role:

A world leading manufacturer of hydraulic components is looking for an experienced senior sales professional who has sold hydraulic components into industrial OEMs and distributors across the UK. You will have a strong network of customers who buy hydraulic components from sectors such as machine tool manufacturing, food processing, oil and gas, power, energy, gas turbine manufacturing, machine building, and industrial hydraulic distribution.

You will be responsible for mapping out and segmenting the industrial hydraulics market, taking full responsibility for growing this market. This is technical solution selling, requiring a mechanical engineering aptitude, along with being an articulate and dynamic salesperson.

Responsibilities: Develop and manage customer relationships across the industrial hydraulics market. Conduct regular customer visits and manage accounts effectively. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Work closely with the UK Managing Director to strategize market growth.

The Candidate: External sales experience from an associated sector (e.g., hydraulics, pumps, valves, fluid dynamics). Mechanical Engineering background or qualification (apprenticeship or degree). Strong strategic thinker with exceptional relationship management skills. Proven track record of business-to-business sales. Dynamic “can do” attitude with enthusiasm for sales. Excellent communication skills, able to engage with various levels of stakeholders. Engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential. Extensive product training will be provided.
