Our Client : Is a well-established construction company based in New Zealand, specializing in high-quality, complex commercial vertical build projects. We have a strong reputation for delivering innovative and cutting-edge developments, and we're looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead one of our key vertical construction projects in Queenstown. The Role : We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in commercial construction to oversee the management and delivery of a vertical build. In this senior role, you will be responsible for leading the entire project lifecycle - from initial planning and coordination through to final handover. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and our internal teams to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget, while meeting our high standards of quality and sustainability. Key Responsibilities : Lead the successful delivery of vertical build projects. Manage and coordinate the project schedule, resources, and contractors to ensure the project progresses smoothly and stays within scope. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other key stakeholders throughout the project. Oversee and manage project budgets, costs, and contract negotiations, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Maintain high standards of safety, quality control, and environmental responsibility throughout the project. Lead and motivate a project team, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration among all parties involved. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with all regulations and standards. Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project status, including financial performance, timelines, and potential risks. Skills & Experience : A minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial construction project management. Proven leadership experience, managing multi-disciplinary teams. Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related field. In-depth knowledge of New Zealand's building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Strong financial management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project budgets and contracts. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a strong ability to manage and resolve challenges on-site. Experience with project management software and construction management tools. Why Join Us?
