Mechanical Contracts Manager County Antrim Travel required - 2 days per week Vickerstock are recruiting for a Mechanical Contracts Manager for a leading multi-disciplinary construction company based in Northern Ireland, delivering quality installations to a diverse range of clients. This role will require overseeing the timely management and execution of projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and are delivered to a high standard. The goal is to achieve client satisfaction and maintain an acceptable profit margin for the company. Your new role as a Mechanical Contracts Manager Ability to interpret drawings and identify all necessary equipment for costing. Conduct site inductions, daily briefings, tool box talks, and assist in creating RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements). Monitor the Health & Safety plan. Monitor material stock levels, assist site supervisors in procuring materials on time, and manage deliveries and hire goods. Collaborate with subcontractors to coordinate work and resolve issues as they arise. Track the progress of the project schedule and report updates to the main contractor or client. Ensure the quality of on-site installations meets company standards by inspecting work and completing check sheets. Oversee testing, ensure tests are carried out or signed off, and manage specialist commissioning to avoid delays. Prepare and provide operational information for manuals, update 'as-installed' drawings, and assist in the creation of the building log book and operations guide. Build and sustain relationships with the project team, including the client, end users, and maintenance team. Address and resolve any conflicts or issues on-site promptly. Share key insights and flag recurring issues to improve future projects. Work closely with the design team to resolve queries. Oversee the installation of mechanical systems, leveraging and expanding knowledge of system operations. What you will need to succeed as a Mechanical Contracts Manager At least 2 years of experience in Contract Management Ideally experience with Healthcare & Education projects A relevant Mechanical Qualification. Strong knowledge of Mechanical systems. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. A proactive and solution-oriented approach. Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as required.
