Salary: Grade 12, £51,802 - £55,600 per annum.

37 hours per week

Your role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside another team manager to lead an expanding team of Personal Advisors who are supporting care experienced young people between the ages of 18-25 and their transition from the children in care team from age 17.

You will provide leadership and management to ensure that all eligible care leavers are supported through the delivery of high quality social care practice. You will also be ambitious for care leavers to reach their full potential as adults by driving excellence.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also be able to build strong working relationships with partner agencies and team managers within children in care to support effective transitions.

They will also be able to challenge effectively and maintain professionalism. You will have excellent organisation skills and be able to prioritise when needed. You will be very approachable and supportive and have previous experience of leading, supervising or managing a team. You will have a good understanding of leaving care legislation in addition to legislation around unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people.

This is a well-established leaving care team. The recent Ofsted inspection stated that the team are tenacious and passionate. The team has grown considerably in the last few years and as a result are now looking for enhanced management oversight. You will work alongside the existing team manager.
