A little more about your role… We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (Infrastructure) to manage high-value construction projects within our Defence and Security sector. This role will suit a proactive individual who can build strong relationships with clients and robustly manage the performance of the Main Contractors and Delivery Partner (DP) and Technical Support Providers (TSP) to ensure projects are delivered to budget, to programme and in line with client expectations and project management processes. You will be required on-site near Swindon, circa 3 days per week. You will be responsible for traditional project management activities including but not limited to scope and resource management, finance and schedule monitoring, change control, risk management and client management, overlaid with additional requirements of the Defence and Security sector such as security management. Your Responsibilities: Deliver concurrent construction/refurbishment/replacement projects through various RIBA stages from early design stages to completion. Manage stakeholders including the client interface with the end user. Complete project assurance reviews at agreed milestones for confidence of delivery. Proactively and robustly challenge main contractor programme of works. Manage compensation events, early warnings and technical questions. Proactively manage DP/TSP/contractor and interrogation of reports. Ensure project financial control including the management and forecasting within approved budgetary limits. Work collaboratively with client colleagues in major projects and programmes, commercial, PMO and finance. Deputise for the client in contractor-client meetings and workshops. What we will be looking for you to demonstrate… Degree in relevant technical discipline (engineering, building, quantity surveying, project or construction management). Recognised project or programme management qualification from one of the following: PMI, APM, RICS, CIOB. NEC3/4 PM qualification. Proven experience as a senior project management professional delivering new build projects between £10M - £70M. Eligible to achieve Security Clearance. Please note:
