We are looking for a motivated production manager to join a global manufacturing company in the UK. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. The position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.
Role Description
Manage production output for the shift potentially across multiple departments, ensuring daily targets are achieved by the team. Instruct overtime plans to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Ensure production quality is to the highest standard, including quality audits and remake management. Plan daily schedules, organize staff resourcing, and escalate any issues that may arise when required. Inform and expedite critical data covering labor, machines, and materials, as well as line balancing, reporting any issues to your line manager. Carry out performance reviews with staff and manage returns to work, ensuring that any absence issues are reported to supervisors daily. Attend daily production and shift handover meetings, escalating any urgent orders while checking 1st & 2nd runs. Review systems and processes to achieve continuous improvement in your department. Skills and Qualifications
Engineering background. Previous experience as a production manager.
