We are seeking a commercially minded Electrical Designer to support incoming enquiries and the tendering process. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a career employer within the Electrical Engineering sector.

Once embedded within the role, this opportunity offers the flexibility of hybrid working with up to three days per week working from home.

Design and Tendering Engineer Key Responsibilities: Liaising directly with the client, you will analyse and translate the customer requirements and data. Produce product drawing packages including general arrangement drawings/schematics and BOM's to satisfy project specifics. Work closely with production teams to review designs, ensure safe designs, manufacturability and build timing/scheduling. Produce formal costings and commercial data for submitting proposals and tenders. Ensure designs sit within project budget and sales/profit parameters. Updating of design database and project reporting. Candidate Experience / Qualifications: Qualified Electrical Engineer (Apprentice / HNC / Degree). Electro-mechanical knowledge. Experienced in production of electrical schematics but with an appreciation of mechanical systems. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD / Electrical design software. Commercially minded. Experience in Tendering preferred but this can be trained. Experienced in communicating directly with the customer and able to provide accurate information. Additional Information: Salary - Discussed at initial vetting stage. UK rights to work (sponsorship cannot be provided). Hybrid working role: 2 / 3 (after 3 months settling in period). 37 Hour week: 7.30 - 4p.m Mon-Thu / 07.30 - 12.30 Fri. Benefits: Up to 10% Bonus. 7% Pension. Individual Bupa. 25 Days Holiday. This position may suit candidates with previous titles of Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrical CAD Engineer, Design and Tendering Engineer, Proposal Engineer.
