We are working with a tier 1 main contractor who is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis working on Highways and Rivers projects. As the Site Engineer, you will be an integral member of the site management team. Alongside setting out, you'll be involved in weekly progress reports, monthly planning, site logistics, and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities: Setting out using total stations and GPS equipment; able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail, and pegs. Read and review construction drawings. Undertake basic take-offs. Raise technical queries with designers and other members of the client team. Have a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and value. Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification. Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.
What do we need from you? Previous experience in civil engineering, which should include highways, infrastructure, and reinforced concrete works. Degree/HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering. SSSTS. ICE Membership. CSCS. Full UK Driving License. First Aid (desirable). Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Salary for this role will be dependent upon experience and discussed upon shortlisting.
