Support the master scheduler with the production plan, ensuring scheduling issues are pushed to the sales team and work is pulled forward to minimise downtime and maximise machine utilisation. Complete “what if” scenario planning to increase machine shop efficiency and enable sales order intake. Provide and analyse key performance indicators such as (but not limited to) TEEP, OOE, and OTIF and use them to generate improvements and address issues. Manage the effective performance of your staff by providing ongoing coaching, cross-training, and upskilling. Strive for an analytical/scientific approach to problem-solving and ensure continual improvement of systems and processes in your area of responsibility. Ensure adherence to operational budgets and control spending at a local level on a daily basis through analysis of: Consumable spending by job, Consumable spending by operator, Maintenance spending by the machine. Sustain high levels of data collection on the shop floor to ensure accurate bookings into our ERP system. Review job costings on a daily basis, report variance analysis and use PDCA principles to enable Continual Improvement. Analyse machine utilisation and drive advancements in both manned and unmanned running. Provide variance analysis on machine utilisation data. Be responsible for Visual Management Board effectiveness, adherence to metrics, and continual review of relevance. Work jointly with the quality team to minimise nonconformances and maximise quality control on production parts. Ensure that all personnel complies with the company's health and safety policy.
