Our aim is to offer support and nurture for children and young people with emotional behaviour difficulties, helping them navigate day-to-day life using the therapeutic trauma-informed PACE approach.
The role of Therapeutic Support Practitioner involves:
Providing outstanding care to children while applying their individual care plans. Taking the children on activities. Liaising with families and professionals to ensure the best possible care is being provided. Taking a proactive approach in supporting the children with attending and engaging in their education. Making and maintaining accurate records of the child's day, including any incidents that may occur. Carrying out general housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, and completing health and safety checks. Applying safeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the home. Complying with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations. Working shifts on a rota-basis, which can involve sleep-ins. Shifts will either start at 8 am, 10 am, or 2 pm depending on the needs of the children, and finish at either 10 pm or 10:30 am the following morning if on a sleep. What we are looking for from you:
QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (highly desirable). Experience in a children's home setting (essential). Passion to help nurture young people. Ability to work shift patterns including sleep-ins. Full UK driving licence (essential). All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations. What we can offer:
A salary of £23,920 to £26,000 per year, depending on qualifications (based on a pay rate of £11.50 to £12.50 per hour, plus £65 per sleep-in night, with an average of 8 completed monthly). Enrolment onto the fully funded QCF Level 3/4/5 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification. Enrolment into the company pension scheme. 28 days annual leave per year, inclusive of bank holidays. Comprehensive, paid induction training and ongoing training within the role. Monthly recognition awards. Casual dress code. Attendance and retention bonus every month for members of staff fulfilling requirements for the £50 bonus monthly.
