Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated sexual health care? If your answer to the question above is yes, then this could be the perfect role for you! Here at Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust, we are looking for a Specialty Doctor to join our highly experienced Integrated Sexual Health service. This exciting and rewarding role will be offered as a permanent position, on a part-time basis of PAs. There are up to 4 PAs available which could be shared between suitable applicants. The post holder will be working at Amersham hospital and Brookside clinic. Please note that interviews will be held face to face at Brookside Clinic, Aylesbury on 29th January 2025. All applicants MUST hold a Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK. Main duties of the job

Throughout the role, you will work flexibly, independently and as part of the existing experienced integrated contraception and sexual health multidisciplinary team, providing integrated contraception and sexual GUM level 3 services in Buckinghamshire. You will provide medical support and advice to nurse-led clinics and will be able to develop your skills in line with the changing needs of the service and your interests. There are plenty of training opportunities available, as you will take part in audit, research and training as appropriate, and you will participate in the teaching of medical students and other health professionals. There is weekly protected departmental teaching time for clinical staff. Job responsibilities

CLINICAL : Participate fully in the clinic rota for screening, diagnosis and treatment of outpatients presenting with STIs and other sexual health conditions and provision of all methods of contraception. Provide clinical advice and support to multidisciplinary team working in ISH clinics. Review complex cases requiring senior input. To be competent in the management of under 18-year-olds and vulnerable adults working within Fraser Guidelines and mental capacity assessments. A suitably experienced candidate would also be able to participate in some of the other clinical sessions including genital dermatoses and other complex GUM presentations and patients attending for subdermal implants and intrauterine devices. Participate in the administrative tasks of the department, such as writing GP letters, completing the phone in lists and statutory coding and surveillance. TEACHING & TRAINING : Contribute to training and development of the existing workforce to facilitate integration of contraceptive and sexual health services. Contribute to the teaching and training of clinical staff at weekly educational meetings. Provide training and support for medical students and GP registrars. Ensure mandatory training is up to date as per trust policy. Person Specification

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Fully registered with GMC with Licence to Practice in the UK MB BS Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health Letter of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques Letter of Competence in Sub-Dermal Implants Experience

Experience in Sexual Health Care Experience in providing contraception support and advice Clinical Teaching Knowledge

Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on full range of sexual health issues in male and female patients and take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients where appropriate. Ability to problem solve and identify a solution(s) using combination literature, personal experience and information gained from peers. Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team during an integrated level 3 Sexual Health clinical session. Training in and practical experience of safeguarding. Aware of issues around providing care for men and women aged under 16. Aware of issues around providing care for women with unplanned pregnancy. Clinical governance and Audit

Demonstrate an understanding of Clinical Governance. Drives service improvements. Strong self-awareness with a desire to grow. Demonstrable experience in organising audit cycles. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
